Every Bride Has A Vision. He Has Revisions.

It was a typical Monday afternoon when Brittany and I were working away at the office. I decided to update the Edison’s twitter account when I came across a twitter post from David Tutera. The post read “tonight is the night!” Of course I was curious and clicked on the attached link. I was shocked to read that he would be doing a speaking engagement at The Adolphus Hotel in Dallas, Texas that night! I immediately told Brittany that we had NO choice but to go!

I have always loved and admired David Tutera’s work and passion for the wedding industry! On June 18, 2009 I had the pleasure of working with David and his team on a wedding in Easton, MD when I worked for a catering company called Design Cuisine based out of Washington, DC. The wedding was amazing and was pulled off without a hitch! Below you will see pictures of the wedding.

We arrived at The Adolphus, purchased “the big white book of weddings”(so that David could sign it of course!), chatted with the local vendors and proceeded to find a seat. As we were making our way to our seats we noticed some familiar faces and were excited to see Andrea from Circle Park Bridal and Rachel from Rachel Events!

The event began with a clip from David’s hit TV show “My Fair Wedding” from the WE TV network. “My Fair Wedding” is now entering it’s third season and has been a hit show since season 1. One tip of advice that David gave and mentioned several times was to change something every 30 minutes. This does not have to cost money. Some ideas were change the lighting color, open a candy station, cut the cake, pass an appetizer, first dance etc. Don’t do everything at once. This keeps your guests entertained and keeps the flow of the reception moving. David gave us behind the scenes insight into his show, wedding planning/design tips and showcased some of his fabulous celebrity weddings including a recent event done for our very own DeMarcus Ware from The Cowboys!
