Q & A with the Mr. & Mrs.

What was your favorite memory of your wedding?
My favorite memory on my wedding day was our first look. We got married at Prestonwood Baptist Church on a beautiful September evening. We went outside to do our first look since the weather was gorgeous. The moment when we turned around to see each other for the first time was a moment  I will never forget. My man looked so dang good! We had such a great time taking pictures.Captured by Shan Renee
Why did you choose Edison’s for your big day?
We did a lot of research on wedding venues and when we went to the Edison’s the first people we met were Lauren and Brittany and they were extremely helpful. We also liked the fact that we could have as many people we we wanted since the venue can accommodate so many or they can create it to were it’s more intimate. We also LOVED the lighting of the venue and our wedding pictures turned out amazing because of it. The people who helped us were great, the food was amazing (we went to every taste testing because it was so good) and the venue always looked good!

What would you have done differently? Something to help other brides plan on or plan differently.
I honestly don’t think there is anything I would have done differently. I found it helpful to have everything delivered to the venue knowing it was going to get taken care of by the people there.

What did you love best about Edison’s?
The Edison’s is a perfect place to have a wedding reception on any reception for that matter. We loved the people who helped us along the way. They always kept up with us and made everything so easy. We never had to worry  about anything and that was important to us!

Q & A with the Mr. & Mrs.

What was your favorite memory of your wedding?
I loved the way the room was decorated for the ceremony. The room was filled with all of those people that loved us and support us.
Why did you choose Edison’s for your big day?
The facility was perfect for an old hollywood wedding theme. I LOVED it. Our ceremony was perfect and the patio.
What would you have done differently? Something to help other brides plan on or plan differently.
I would have allowed more time for family photos right after the ceremony, and I would have gone outside to take pics on the red carpet.
What did you love best about Edison’s?
The in-house lighting and outdoor patio.
We enjoyed having Veronica and Ade as an Edison’s couple! They were an absolute pleasure to work with and we just loved the uniqueness of their Old Hollywood themed wedding.

Q & A with the Mr. & Mrs.

What was the most important thing to you when planning your wedding? (Example: flowers, venue, food, etc.)

Our biggest concerns regarding the wedding were that the guests would be able to enjoy great food and drinks in a fun venue that we could afford. We wanted a place that reflected our sense of style as well. Edison’s was the perfect venue for us. We looked at almost 20 places before finding you guys and we knew right away after we saw it.

We know this is a hard one, but what was your favorite part of the day?

I don’t think we had a “favorite part” but we really enjoyed getting to spend time celebrating with all our family and friends at the reception.

If you could change one thing about the day, what would it be and why?

Would have had the reception last a little longer. It went by so fast!

If you could give one piece of advice to our future bride and grooms, what would it be?

Make sure you choose vendors that you are comfortable with. Try your best to stick to your budget and enjoy.

What was the best thing about having your wedding at Edison’s?

Working with Derek was great. He was incredibly easy going and was very respectful of our budget which was important to us since we paid for half of the wedding. The place looked great and the food was amazing. Many people said that it was their favorite wedding that they had ever been to! We have recommended you to several friends as well.

What was your favorite part of Beth & Scott’s wedding and why?
My favorite part of any couples’ wedding is whatever makes that couple unique. For Beth & Scott it certainly had to be the way they laughed together. Both having such serous careers, Beth & Scott must surely feel that being able to laugh is an important part of their relationship… and of life in general! I love the way Beth giggled when Scott snuck up on her for their “First Sight” together, how she threw her head back in laughter when Scott attempted a seductive ‘dip and kiss’ during portraits, and the chuckles they shared together during their first dance antics! If a sense of humor is a big part of making a marriage last forever… this couple is already on the right track!

What was your favorite part of Beth & Scott’s wedding and why?
My favorite part of Beth & Scott’s wedding was how much fun their guests were having dancing and partying. They stayed on the dance floor for hours and were having a blast.
